Burdock - Arctium lappa (Asteraceae) - Root

Burdock is a biennial herb, easily grown in the garden or harvested from the wild. When roots harvested in the fall during plant’s first year, it likely contains the highest inulin content (nourishes and supports the gut microbiome and helps with intestinal health)

Burdock supports the digestive system. It’s a mild bitter, and as such stimulates the secretion of bile, improves appetite and helps with assimilation.

Burdock also has anti-inflammatory properties and helps with lymph flow throughout the body, removing waste products from tissues.
